Photo of the log corners. Our featured notch style is the "saddle notch". This is a hand-scribed, hand-cut, compression-fit notch that has scarfs (also called saddles or receivers). This saddle notch provides great appearance and ensures an extremely tight fit over time. All notches in this featured home have been scribed and cut completely by hand with chainsaws - we do not machine cut any notch.
